Scoil Samhraidh is a summer camp for children aged 5 to 15 who are interested in traditional Irish music, song and dance. It’s held in nearby Coolfancy National School. It usually takes place the week prior to the Leinster Fleadh. Music classes in tin-whistle, flute, fiddle, button accordion, concertina, bodhran, mandolin and banjo take place from Monday to Friday 10am until midday and then traditional singing and set dancing takes place for 12 until 1pm. On the Friday we host a ‘Grand Finale Concert’ for parents or anyone wishing to attend.

Scoil Samhraidh 2009 will run from July 6th to 10th.
